Ed Husic, Australia’s Industry Minister, condemned Labour’s internal workings after his proposal to allow a debate on recognising Gaza was rejected.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese reportedly described his remark at a meeting as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unfazed by criticism, stating reporters: "put me in a cold chamber, I don't give a sh*t."
The dispute followed failed attempts to push the party to declare events in Gaza as genocide.
Party documents and internal files were later filed that revealed deep divisions within Labour’s ranks over policy and direction.
