Rep. Haley Stevens continues to criticize Abdul El-Sayed following a bitter primary. Stevens has set conditions for a unity event with El-Sayed ahead of the 2026 Midterm Elections but El-Sayed has rejected her calls for an apology over antisemitic ads. The Washington Post reports that tension remains after Stevens criticized El-Sayed, while The New York Times highlights El-Sayed's clash with a former primary rival who demanded his apology. Stevens' recent statement suggesting she may sabotage the midterms to halt a progressive surge has also drawn criticism.
