Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and sailors serving aboard the USS Tripoli came back to the U.S. on Wednesday. They ended tours assigned to the 5th and 7th Fleets. At the same time, many Marines and sailors stationed in Okinawa went back to their Japan post after missions related to the Iran situation. The Tripoli docked at its home port in Okinawa, concluding its deployment. The U.S. Marines and the Royal Australian Air Force finished joint drills at Dyess under the Trident Fury program this week. In Vancouver, the police marine unit recovered a seven-day-old seal pup that had been left alone.
