The rocket’s upper stage and booster executed a smooth separation during ascent.
Both stages later achieved soft splashdowns, first in the Gulf of Mexico and the other in the Indian Ocean.
Engineers described the sea touchdowns as the softest to date.
A earlier rocket engine issue forced a prior abort on July 24.
The the operator further deployed advanced Starlink satellites as cargo for the experimental run.
